HE Washer Detergent

One question that I get asked about frequently is 


"How much soap do I use in my HE washer?"  

or 
"Can I use my regular none HE soap in my new HE washer?" 






And the answer is:

  • ALWAYS use HE (high-efficiency) detergent in your HE washer.
  • The reason is that  regular detergents produce more suds,     which will leave a residue in the unseen parts of your machine. Over time this can become a breeding ground for mold, which can damage your machine.
  • Be careful to read labels carefully, as some detergents are marked "HE compatible" but they can still produce a lot of suds.
  • Use the minimum amount of detergent suggested.
After your machine has been emptied leave the door open for a while, this will help with any unwanted odors.
